Emcee Trevelise GM in Princeton
PRINCETON, N.J. (Jan. 18,
2006) – Steve Travelise, the House Emcee for Catch A Rising Star Comedy Club in
Princeton for nearly two years, has been named the new General Manager of the
club. Trevelise will continue to be the club’s Emcee as well.
The Princeton club is located
inside the Hyatt Regency Princeton, 102 Carnegie Center, just off Route 1.
Trevelise is a familiar name
to many. In addition to Catch A Rising Star, he can be heard on Sportsradio 610
WIP in Philadelphia and on 1057 THEHAWK. A longtime broadcaster, Trevelise
started his 22-year radio career at WPST-FM in Trenton. Over the years he has
been on a host of stations throughout New Jersey and Philadelphia.
“Catch is a great venue,” said Trevelise. “The club has an amazing
tradition of featuring the best talent around. We are all about having fun and
continuing the tradition of being the No. 1 comedy club in the United States.
I’m very excited about my new role, in addition to maintaining my emcee role.”
Trevelise, who has appeared at several comedy clubs throughout the years,
including Catch, has been the House Emcee at Catch since 2004.
“I prefer to emcee because you get to go in there and get everybody into
a laughing mood,” said Trevelise. “You get to play around with the audience and
get them going.”
Catch A Rising Star has been
affiliated with leading hotels and restaurants across the United States for more
than 30 years. Catch A Rising Star first opened its doors in New York City in
1972, and quickly became the forum that launched the careers of some of
America’s most popular and beloved television and film stars, top comedians,
comic actors, musicians, directors, producers and writers.
